CNN: The White House has compiled a list of departments where layoffs will take place due to the shutdown

The administration of US President Donald Trump has already prepared a list of departments where mass layoffs are expected amid the government shutdown. The list will be announced in the near future, CNN reports, citing sources in the White House.

The upcoming cuts in federal employees should be announced as early as Friday. If this does not happen on the last working day of the week, the message will be distributed on Saturday or Sunday, officials say.

The White House is still clarifying some details of the upcoming layoffs, but the list was mostly compiled by the Office of Management and Budget in coordination with the target agencies. Shortly before that, the US leader said that they would have to determine “which of the numerous democratic agencies” they plan to reduce, as well as indicate whether these will be temporary or permanent layoffs.

According to officials, some agencies have been targeted because of their policies of diversity, equality and inclusivity. However, the main reason they are under attack is that the organizations do not meet the president’s priorities, according to the Trump administration.

Earlier, US Vice President Jay Dee Vance blamed the Democratic Party for the shutdown. According to him, the moderate Democrats are losing their positions significantly.
