According to the Washington Post, the site Grokipedia.com it has been working for several hours, but some users reported errors in its operation shortly after launch.
The site is currently running, including from Russia, in version 0.1. The user is prompted to enter their query in a special line — there is only one on the main page of the site. The algorithm simultaneously suggests possible options for questions that a person probably wants to ask.
After confirmation, the user is offered a choice from several found options. When clicking on these links, you can read the text with the information you are interested in.
Musk announced in September that the xAI team is working on Grokipedia.
The name Grokipedia is derived from the word Grok. This is the name of an artificial intelligence-based assistant and chatbot created by xAI, a company founded by Musk in March 2023 to develop artificial intelligence. Grok is able to generate text and images, as well as conduct dialogues with users, similar to ChatGPT and other tools. He can access information in real time via the Internet and X.
The chatbot is available to premium subscribers of the social network X, which is owned by Musk, and on a separate website, as well as on the portal of xAI itself.
