Chinese President Xi Jinping left for South Korea on Thursday morning, Beijing time, where he will take part in the APEC summit, China Central Television reported.

“On the morning of October 30, Chinese President Xi Jinping took off from Beijing on a special flight to attend the 32nd informal meeting of APEC economic leaders in Gyeongju at the invitation of South Korean President Lee Jae-myung, as well as pay a state visit to the Republic of Korea,” the TV channel said.

Earlier, the Chinese Foreign Ministry said that Xi Jinping will meet with US President Donald Trump on Thursday to exchange views on Sino-American relations and issues. The White House clarified that the meeting of the leaders of the two countries will take place in South Korea on Thursday at 11:00 a.m. local time.
