Notus: Congresswoman Green wants to run for president of the United States in 2028
A member of the US House of Representatives from the Republican Party, Marjorie Taylor Green, wants to run for president in the 2028 elections, because she considers herself a true representative of the MAGA movement, the Notus portal reports, citing sources.
“Member of the House of Representatives Marjorie Taylor Green, who is increasingly criticizing the Republican Party and its leadership, especially in the House of Representatives, is telling people that she wants to run for president in 2028… She confessed to her colleagues that she wants to run for president. Her conversations focused on her belief that she is “a true representative of MAGA (Make America Great Again- ed.), and the rest have lost their way,” the message says.
According to the portal’s source, Green also stated that she has a national network of sponsors to win the primaries.
It is noted that Green later informed the portal that this information was “baseless.”
The next US presidential election is scheduled to take place in 2028. Trump had not previously ruled out the possibility of re-election for a third term and said that “there are ways” through which he could be nominated. At the same time, one of the amendments to the US Constitution states that no one can hold the office of president for more than two four-year terms.
