US President Donald Trump said that the United States had “thrown something out” of the peace plan for the Russian-Ukrainian conflict. He made such a statement to reporters, the broadcast was hosted by the White House.
“We’ve thrown something out (of the peace plan). There are four or five different parts,” the American president said.
He noted that it is not easy to develop a peace agreement, as it is necessary to “cut the land in a special way.” Trump compared this process to a “complex real estate transaction.”
The US president stressed that concluding a peace agreement would stop “thousands of murders.” He said the United States wants to “save a lot of lives.” Trump also noted that the country “is not involved in the war,” instead, the United States is involved in negotiations to end the conflict.
In addition, the American president said that the United States would participate in negotiations with representatives of Europe and Ukraine on Saturday, December 13, provided that there was a good chance to conclude a peace deal. According to Axios, the meeting will be held in Paris and will be attended by the United States, Ukraine, France, Germany and the United Kingdom.
According to the source of the publication, the meeting will discuss “new ideas” on how to resolve issues of territories, the Zaporizhia NPP, and other controversial topics. The Telegraph previously wrote that Ukrainian negotiators had expressed the position that Kiev could give up the territories if Russia agreed to “mutual concessions.”
