Hollywood star, actor and producer George Clooney and his wife Amal Alamuddin and their 8-year-old twins have been granted French citizenship. This is reported by the RTL portal with reference to a document in the Official Journal.
Earlier, Clooney confessed his love for the French language and culture, noting that he still speaks poorly “after 400 days of classes.”
“No one is photographing your children here. There are no paparazzi lurking near the school. This is very important to us.…I wanted a place where our children could live a normal life. That was really the main reason,” the actor explained.
The publication recalls that the Clooney family has been spending time between their home in the United States and their vineyard in the south of France for the past few years. In 2021, the American actor acquired the Cadanel estate for € 9 million. This vast 172-hectare property includes an 18th-century mansion with an area of 900 square meters, a swimming pool, a tennis court, a small lake, as well as a large pine forest on the hills, olive groves and five hectares of vineyards.
