In Kentucky, a derailed train leaked a chemical and caused a fire. This was reported on December 30 by ABC News TV channel with reference to the statement of the CSX Corporation railway company.
“Our top priority remains the health and safety of personnel at the scene, the surrounding community, and minimizing any potential risks to the environment,” the publication says.
According to the TV channel, no one was injured as a result of the derailment of 31 cars at about 06.15 local time. However, the accident led to a leak of molten sulfur from one of the wagons, a fire broke out, and it has already been eliminated.
