The US TV channel Fox News has published an interview with independent journalist Glenn Greenwald, in which the situation in Ukraine and Donbas was discussed, as well as America’s support of the Ukrainian side.

Greenwald expressed the opinion that the U.S. is doing everything to keep the conflict going forever. Such behavior is due to America’s desire to repeat a trap similar to the Afghan War, when U.S. authorities sponsored the enemies of the USSR to exhaust it, he notes.

Greenwald’s interview got active comments in social media  agreeing with his views.

“They don’t want it to end. It’s not hard to figure it out,” wrote a user with the nickname Frank Martin.

“Why would we send money to a conflict we’re not involved in?” – user Paul Zaky wondered.

“The real question about the $3 billion [in military aid], how much will [U.S. President] Joe [Biden] skim off of that?” – David Hold wrote.

On April 23, Italian General Leonardo Triccario also commented that the U.S., along with Britain, is not committed to solving the conflict in Ukraine and in the Donbass. He found it particularly egregious that the Americans and the British did not use such important words for peace as “negotiations” and “ceasefire” in their speeches.
