Axios: Journalist Tucker Carlson prepares to declare war to Fox News

The former Fox News host is about to declare war on the network that fired him, Axios reports, citing sources.

“Tucker Carlson is preparing to unleash allies to attack Fox News in an effort to force the network to let him work or start working for a right-wing rival,” wrote columnist Mike Allen.

According to the publication, the well-known anchor is busy building his own “media empire.” However, to achieve his goal, Carlson needs to get rid of his contract with Fox News, which expires in 2025.

The columnist also noted that some major American media outlets have already offered the anchor a contract with a higher salary than in the journalist’s previous place of work. In addition, according to some reports, the former anchor of Fox News “without details” discussed with the entrepreneur Elon Musk ” work together.

The journalist is known for criticizing the actions of President Joe Biden’s government. On one of his last shows, Carlson called for an investigation into U.S. leader Hunter Biden’s son, and compared Democrats to “truffle-seeking pigs” for their lust for power.

In late April, Fox News announced that the anchor was leaving the channel by mutual decision. Shortly after this announcement, the channel’s ratings plummeted dramatically.
