Former US President Donald Trump said on Saturday, 16 December, that current US leader Joe Biden is a threat to democracy.

“[The Biden administration] is willing to violate the U.S. Constitution to win. Joe Biden is a threat to democracy,” Trump said during a speech to voters in New Hampshire.

He also quoted Russian President Vladimir Putin as saying that events in the United States “show the rottenness of the American political system, which cannot claim to teach others about democracy.”

“He [Vladimir Putin] said: politically motivated persecution of opponents is very good for Russia because it shows the rottenness of the American system, which can no longer pretend to teach democracy,” the former US president said.

Earlier, on 29 November, Trump accused Biden of the decline of the state and the loss of the American dream. According to the former US president, under the current head of state, the United States has become a nation in decline, and Biden’s destruction of the American economy was the beginning of his war against youth.

On 23 November, the former US president said that the country was in serious trouble, descending into hell because of Biden’s policies. Then he also promised to win the 2024 presidential election and “make America great again”.

In October, Trump called Biden a laughingstock occupying the White House. The businessman and politician also linked the escalation of the Palestinian-Israeli conflict to the American leader’s wrong decisions, saying that Israel’s war with the Gaza Strip was a consequence of those decisions.
