A Tesla engineer was attacked by a robot at a gigafactory in the US state of Texas in 2021, the Daily Mail reported, citing sources.
“A robot attacked a Tesla engineer during a violent and bloody breakdown at the company’s gigafactory in Texas,” the publication wrote.
According to the newspaper, the incident occurred in 2021, when the worker was grabbed by a machine designed to move newly cast aluminium parts of the car. Because of this, the employee received an open wound, and the robot stained the factory premises with blood.
As the lawyer representing the interests of employees of the Tesla gigafactory in Texas, Hannah Alexander, told the publication, the company downplays the number of incidents in order to receive tax breaks. In particular, one of the employees died of heat stroke during the construction phase of the plant, and many others suffered injuries not recorded in official reports.
