An adviser to Iraq’s prime minister called US strikes on targets in the country a dangerous escalation
The media adviser to Iraqi Prime Minister Hisham al-Rikabi said that the strikes by US forces on facilities in Iraqi territory are a violation of international law, and called the US military measures a “dangerous escalation.”
“The American arguments and explanations are unjustified and unacceptable because what they are doing is a clear attack on Iraqi sovereignty and a violation and retaliation beyond international law even at the level of understanding and relations between sovereign countries,” al-Rikabi told Arab World Press.
He added that any US military action is a “serious escalation” and damages diplomatic relations between the two countries.
