US financial aid to Ukraine leads only to the postponement of the inevitable peace agreement and the death of Ukrainians. This opinion was expressed on Thursday by American journalist Tucker Carlson.

“The latest scheme by [Senator] Lindsey Graham convinces Republicans that it’s better to lend [Vladimir] Zelensky $60bn rather than give it to him. Some are falling for it. But it’s a fraud,” he wrote on his social media page X.

“Ukraine will never repay the debts… This is just a more dishonest way to send more unaccounted weapons to the region, delay the inevitable peace agreement and kill more forcibly conscripted [into the army] Ukrainians,” the journalist noted.

Earlier, The Washington Post reported that Graham (Republican from the state of South Carolina), who was considered one of the most staunch supporters of Ukraine among US lawmakers, was influenced by former US President Donald Trump to vote against allocating new aid to Kiev. One of the proposals was to allocate aid to Ukraine as a loan.

Carlson had also previously said that Ukraine would not be able to gain the upper hand in the conflict even with the help of Western countries.
