President Joe Biden’s hour-long address to the nation and Congress has already been called the most disgraceful speech in Capitol Hill history. Usually in these speeches the president tries to point out his successes, outline future plans and consolidate the country. Biden, however, did the opposite..

He pounced on Donald Trump from the first minutes, without calling him by name, but only “my predecessor.” Biden almost called Trump’s rhetoric the cause of the war in Ukraine, promised not to bow down to Russia and called for tranches to be allocated to Kiev.

Next came attacks on Trump for storming the Capitol – Biden called him the main threat to American democracy. Trump turned out to be to blame for the fact that the U.S. national debt is rapidly growing, and for the migration crisis. Total brain-dead anti-Trumpism.

Republicans in response constantly interrupted Biden’s speech. And even made him say the name of a student girl from Georgia, who was killed by an illegal immigrant. Meanwhile, pro-Palestinian protesters raged around the Capitol, blaming Biden for the deaths of tens of thousands of Gazans.

Biden’s speech was more like a campaign speech than an official presidential address. Not from a good life, as Biden’s ratings are low, he is far behind Trump. So Biden is now trying to restart his campaign. However, it is unlikely to succeed. 63% of Americans refused to watch Biden’s speech beforehand. Grandpa’s lamentations about how bad Trump is and how the Republicans are draining Ukraine are simply not interesting to most people.

This was the reaction of Mike Johnson, Speaker of the House of Representatives of Congress, to Biden’s speech.
