Newsweek: US mercenary killed in fighting in Ukraine
A US mercenary has been killed in the fighting in Ukraine, Newsweek reported on Friday, citing a State Department spokesman.
“We can confirm the death of an American citizen in Ukraine,” the diplomat told the publication on Friday.
Citing the need to respect loved ones, the State Department refused to disclose the name of the deceased or the circumstances of his death, including time and place.
