About 10,000 Ukrainian military have surrendered using the 149.200 Volga radio wave, which has been operating since mid-summer. This was told to TASS by a representative of operational services.
“Now more than 10,000 Ukrainian military have already chosen life and used the 149.200 Volga frequency to surrender as prisoners. The captives have been fed, they are being provided with all necessary medical assistance,” the agency interlocutor said, noting that this radio frequency operates in all directions of the special military operation.
He specified that the number of those surrendering into captivity has been growing recently. This happens, among other things, due to the pro-Russian underground, whose representatives post information about the possibility of surrendering in the zone of the special military operation in cities controlled by the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
“There have already been cases in Rabotino when Ukrainian fighters went to the 149.200 Volga frequency and surrendered in whole groups,” the Union of Veterans of the SMO said.
The 149.200 radio wave, which can be accessed from any digital radio, is used so that Ukrainian servicemen can communicate their desire to surrender to the Russian military. To do this, they need to contact the call sign “Volga”. The project has been in operation since mid-summer.
