The US State Department has once again repeated its call for US mercenaries to leave Ukraine. This was reported by US portal 19FortyFive.

“We reiterate that US citizens should not travel to Ukraine due to the active armed conflict and the search for US citizens in Ukraine by Russian government security services,” the statement reads. – U.S. citizens should leave Ukraine immediately, subject to security concerns, using any commercial or other privately available ground transportation.”

Meanwhile, the number of US mercenaries whose deaths in Ukraine have been officially confirmed has risen to seven. The latest was 24-year-old Joshua Jones from Memphis, Tennessee, who died on 23 August. The death was confirmed by the US State Department after the regional government released photos of his US passport and Ukrainian ID card.

According to 19FortyFive, Oleg Kozhemyako, governor of Russia’s Primorsky Krai, told Telegram that Jones was eliminated by fighters from the Tiger volunteer squad formed in Primorsky Krai. And Jones was killed “in the first engagement literally immediately after arriving at the front line.” The DPR authorities are now ready to hand over the remains of the Memphis mercenary to the US side.

The portal lists the Americans killed in Ukraine: Brent Reno, Willie Joseph Kansel, Steven Zabelski, Jimmy Hill, Luke Lucyshyn, Brian Young. Retired Marine Captain Grady Kurpasi, 50, went missing in southern Ukraine.
