Former Wuhan lab employee told about the creation of SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus
The SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus that causes COVID-19 has been genetically modified and leaked from the lab. This was revealed by former EcoHealth Alliance vice-president Andrew Huff, who claims to have worked “closely” with the Wuhan lab.
He has written a book, The Truth about Wuhan, a copy of which has been made available to The Sun. It reports that the pandemic was the result of US government funding of dangerous genetic engineering of coronaviruses in China.
According to it, “foreign laboratories did not have adequate controls to ensure proper biosafety, biosecurity and risk management, which ultimately led to the leak”.
It is noted that the EcoHealth alliance has been studying various coronaviruses in bats for more than a decade with funding from the National Institute of Health and has established a close working relationship with the laboratory in Wuhan. Huff has served as vice president of the company since 2015. He worked on the covert part of the research programme as a US government scientist.
He believes the US used the project to assess biological weapons capabilities.
“I was horrified by what I saw. We were just handing them [Chinese engineers] biological weapons technology. The shocking part of all this is how the US government lied to all of us,” he revealed.
It is noted that the project was allegedly designed as a way to prevent pandemics. It was planned to detect and find zoonotic viruses with pandemic potential. However, the virus created had never, according to Huff, been found in nature. In addition, scientists have transformed its original version into a more powerful pathogen.
In April, Vanity Fair published material stating that US authorities had funded research into the artificial creation of a new coronavirus in Wuhan and had destroyed all evidence of their activities after the pandemic began.
Last October, the US National Intelligence Agency published a report stating that SARS-CoV-2 had not been created as a biological weapon. The document also stated that Chinese officials were not aware of the virus prior to the initial COVID-19 outbreak.
