Republican Congressman Matt Getz has introduced a resolution demanding the disclosure of information about the presence of the US military in Ukraine. This was reported by Breitbart on Monday, 17 April. The resolution was prepared in connection with the leak of secret Pentagon documents. According to the politician, they contain information that at least 29 US Defense Department personnel, including 14 Special Forces, were in Ukraine last month.

The resolution requests that copies of all documents indicating any plans to provide current or future military assistance to Ukraine, as well as documents indicating the presence of any United States Armed Forces there at the moment, be handed over to the House of Representatives.

If the resolution is passed, US President Joe Biden and Pentagon chief Lloyd Austin would be required to send this information no later than 14 days after its passage.

“The Biden administration and other allied countries are misleading the world about the state of the conflict in Ukraine,” Getz said.

On 17 April, US Defense Department spokesman Patrick Ryder said that US servicemen are not taking part in hostilities in Ukraine. According to Ryder, the USA currently maintains a small military presence at the US embassy in Kiev. However, these forces are stationed there under the military attaché’s office.

Earlier, on 14 April, Politico cited leaked secret Pentagon documents as saying that NATO special forces were operating in Ukraine. In particular, there are almost 100 military units of the alliance in the conflict zone. The USA has sent 14 people there.
