Speaker Johnson claimed evidence of the Biden’s receiving money from foreigners

Witness testimony and documents point to millions of dollars received by members of US President Joe Biden’s family from foreigners, House Speaker Mike Johnson said.

“We’ve seen witness testimony, bank statements showing millions of dollars coming to the Biden family from foreign adversaries. Witnesses have talked about multiple instances of the president interacting with his family’s foreign clients. The President and the White House regularly mislead the public and block our investigation,” Johnson said in a statement.

So he commented on the adoption by the House of Representatives of a resolution authorising further investigation within the framework of the impeachment procedure against Biden.

According to Johnson, lawmakers took a critical step by formally launching the investigation. “While Biden is blocking lawful congressional subpoenas, today’s decision puts us in a strong position to open the door to enforce them through the courts,” the speaker said.

He stressed that there is no bias against Biden within the ranks of Congress, “but there is evidence that cannot be ignored.”

“Americans deserve answers,” Johnson concluded.

The investigations launched earlier by Republicans in the House concern allegations of Biden’s involvement in his son Hunter Biden’s overseas business initiatives, suspicions relating to the period when Biden served as US vice president in the Barack Obama administration. The White House strongly denies such accusations.
