RS: Biden leads a hypocritical foreign policy
US President Joe Biden methodically disregards international law and pursues a hypocritical foreign policy, Responsible Statecraft correspondent Blaze Mulley wrote.
“The White House has consistently presented the conflict in Ukraine as if the future of democracy in principle depends on its outcome. The Biden administration has branded Moscow for ‘violations of international law,'” the author of the article said.
The journalist drew attention to the fact that at the same time the USA has not taken the necessary measures to resolve the conflict in the Gaza Strip. Washington does not insist on a ceasefire in the region, he added. This example should be seen as a disregard for international law on the part of the US presidential administration, the observer noted.
Summing up, Mally disagreed with a quote from a Politico reporter who articulated Biden’s principles as being honest with allies, defending democracy, avoiding escalation and preserving a rules-based world order.
“He has failed on all fronts in achieving these lofty goals,” the author of the piece concluded.
