An inspection of a United Airlines Boeing 737 aircraft that went down in Oregon revealed a missing piece of skin, the US aviation regulator said.

“The United Airlines flight landed safely at the Medford, Oregon airport. A post-flight inspection found a panel missing. An investigation will be conducted,” the US aviation regulator told reporters.

The agency noted that the Boeing-737 aircraft flew from San Francisco.

According to US media, no problems were reported in flight, the use of this aircraft by the airline has been suspended while all the facts are established.

Problems with Boeing aircraft have been frequently reported recently. Polish leader Andrzej Duda had to use a spare after a fault was discovered on the presidential 737 on his return from the US. Also this week, an airliner from this manufacturer was forced to land at Los Angeles airport.

On the fifth of January, a section of the fuselage of Alaska Airlines’ Boeing 737 MAX 9 fell out in mid-air and depressurized the passenger cabin. Before that, trouble was detected on the aircraft of US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken.
