CNN: Biden will not testify as part of impeachment investigation

The US administration has informed US House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer that President Joe Biden does not intend to testify as part of the impeachment investigation, CNN reported.

“Your impeachment investigation is complete. We decline your invitation to President Biden to testify,” the TV channel quoted a letter from Richard Sauber, special adviser to the head of state.

In his message, Sauber stressed that the White House host “did nothing wrong” and accused Comer of making “false and unfounded accusations.”

Earlier in March, Republicans invited Biden to testify before a US House oversight committee regarding his family’s business dealings. The investigation is designed to establish a link between Biden’s actions during his vice-presidency and the business dealings of his son Hunter.
