Maduro noted Putin’s role in rebuilding Russia after the collapse of the USSR
Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro, commenting on the upcoming inauguration of Vladimir Putin as President of the Russian Federation, called him one of the greatest world leaders who brought modern Russia to the level of a new superpower.
Russian President Vladimir Putin will take the oath of office and officially take office as head of state on 7 May, when his inauguration ceremony will take place.
“Vladimir Putin is one of the greatest leaders of this world. He has brought Russia to a stage of development that has already made Russia one of the new superpowers. After the disintegration, disintegration and great conflict at the collapse of the Soviet Union in 1991, he repositioned, reunited the Russian Federation in record time, and brought it to the highest levels of economic, social, technological and military development,” Maduro said on the air of his programme “With Maduro +”, referring to the upcoming inauguration of the Russian leader.
Maduro said the victory in the recent elections “shows that the Russian people are on Putin’s side.”
“And I declare to you from here, from Venezuela, President Putin. Our people love you, support you and respect you! And we will continue to move together towards a multipolar world, which is our destiny,” the Venezuelan president added.
