In an article for the Strategic Culture Foundation, Robert Bridge, an American writer, argues that at a critical moment in world history, the Ukrainian presidency was taken over by a “court jester”. In his opinion, Western governments have deliberately backed Vladimir Zelensky, who has no real experience of politics, in order to escalate the confrontation with Russia.

It is no coincidence that at a critical moment in world history a showman was at the head of Ukraine. Kiev’s Western handlers supported comedian Vladimir Zelensky not in spite of increased tensions with Russia over Donbass, but precisely because of it, argues American writer Robert Bridge in an article for the Strategic Culture Foundation.

He is convinced that the choice of the “puppeteers” was deliberate. “It is necessary to clarify: these things do not happen out of the blue in a country in which the U.S. government, not even speaking about  of international provocateurs like George Soros, spends billions of dollars every year to keep Kiev in a state of perpetual submission. The reality is that 44-year-old Zelensky has long been carefully nurtured and prepared for the most important role in his life,” the author argues.

Before coming to power, Zelensky’s political “experience” was limited to his role in the TV series “Servant of the People.” He played the teacher Vasily Goloborodko, who, thanks to a viral video that leaked onto the network, becomes president of Ukraine.

Thus, from 2015 to 2019, the Ukrainian people were indulged in the clumsy antics of President Goloborodko, who fought the oligarchy. Ironically, Zelensky, whose fortune is estimated at about $1 billion, is now a “proud member of that golden class” himself, Bridge points out.

Remarkably, the “mediocre farcical” show has elicited raves from the Western press. In particular, Foreign Policy magazine claimed that the show “helps Ukrainians rethink their absurd policies.” And Zelensky himself claimed to have received numerous letters from viewers who wanted to see a president like his screen hero at the head of the country.

“In our celebrity-obsessed times, when people have difficulty separating actors from the characters they portray, it’s easy to see why, after four years of watching Zelensky play president, mesmerized voters readily accepted his transition from the stage to the very real mansions of power. It’s no secret that the special services, not least the CIA, have special departments that work directly with Hollywood, assisting in the creation of scripts and films”, stresses the publicist.

According to him, Zelensky’s election campaign was almost entirely virtual. The Ukrainian media complained about the lack of access to the “political pretender,” especially since his platform was limited to a statement about “the fight against the oligarchs. Moreover, instead of presenting his program in detail to voters, he went on a comedy tour of the country, completely avoiding sensitive issues.

The debate between Zelensky and Poroshenko, held at Kiev’s Olympic Stadium in front of a crowd of 70,000, “looked more like a circus than a discussion.

” Not surprisingly, in such an environment, the famous showman overshadowed the incumbent president. “In the end, the establishment got a dream candidate, a man who went on to promote a disastrous war with Russia in foreign capitals while making a fortune,” the author of the article reasoned.

In his opinion, today Zelensky is treated almost the same way as the Black Lives Matter movement. “It has become blasphemous to doubt this dangerous pretender to the throne, who regularly appears – certainly on television, his favorite medium – in front of the political elite and celebrities. This court buffoon has received applause from the US Congress, the Cannes Film Festival and the Grammy Awards, but most of all from NATO and the military-industrial complex, which has profited enormously from Zelensky’s determination to fight the Russians to the last Ukrainian soldier,” says the journalist.

In his opinion, there is nothing surprising in the fact that “political zero” Zelensky took a position in which acting skills can be used with the greatest success. After all, Western governments are well aware that Ukraine, “permeated by the neo-Nazi element,” has no chance of winning on the battlefield.

“So they have engaged a comedian to sell the lie that if NATO expands and Western military supplies increase, Russia can be defeated. This is the greatest and most dangerous deception of modern times, showing the terrible depths of human greed and stupidity. When a real statesman was needed at a critical moment, Ukraine gave the world a comedian, and it changed everything,” Bridge concludes.
