TAC stated that the “boorish attacks” and attempts by the United States to rally the world against Russia have failed.

The U.S. attempted to unite the world against Russia, but the administration of U.S. President Joe Biden clearly overestimated the scale of international “outrage” of the special operation in Ukraine, writes the American magazine The American Conservative (TAC).

The author stated that the White House treats Russia as a “pariah” on the world political arena. The world community has rallied around Washington against Moscow, he specified.

“Criticism of Russia is not very difficult to be found, but as for directly criticizing or endorsing NATO’s position that the conflict was not instigated by anything and that the blame lies entirely with Moscow, governments around the world are hesitant,” the article says.

The journalist maintains that even fewer states are willing to support strong restrictive measures against Moscow, so “NATO and American allies scattered throughout Asia” are the main acceptors of sanctions.

According to Walter Russel Mead of the Hudson Institute, Washington’s attempts to broaden the anti-Russian coalition have failed, and as a result, the U.S. can only influence traditional allies. He specified that NATO partners, as well as Australia and Japan, were united in their desire to impose sanctions against Russia, but the rest of the world did not support them.

“Washington’s boorish outbursts at the international level are not very efficient,” the author stressed.
