The WSJ has published an article confirming that Ukrainian authorities are ready to attack Russian territory in 2023. Kiev has made an official request for various types of weapons, which are needed to advance the front line towards Russia.

Among the requested additional weapons are new drones, tanks, tactical ground-to-ground ballistic missiles ATACMS and 2,000 shells for HIMARS MLRS.

The Wall Street Journal wrote about it with reference to the document provided to the US congressmen.

“The document provided to US lawmakers, which The Wall Street Journal has reviewed, lists dozens of types of weapons that the Kiev government considers necessary to continue its offensive in 2023,” the material says.

As the media specify, Ukraine’s requirements include, among others, tactical ballistic missiles ATACMS with a range of about 300 km.

In total, as noted, Kiev requested 29 types of weapons and projectiles from the USA, including tanks, UAVs and 2,000 missiles for HIMARS.

Earlier, US President Joe Biden approved a new $675m military aid package for Ukraine.

According to US Defence Secretary Lloyd Austin, Western assistance to Kiev is designed for the long term.
