Haber7 readers angered by Time’s decision to name Vladimir Zelenski as Man of the Year

Turkish readers of the Turkish Haber7 newspaper reacted to the decision of the American Time magazine to name Vladimir Zelenski the “man of the year”.

The publication named Zelensky the “man of the year” while pointing out that he demonstrates authoritarianism and sends political opponents to jail. Time’s decision prompted a harsh reaction from Haber7 readers.

“This is bullshit, it’s ‘puppet of the year’,” said user Millet.

“Excuse me, what has this man done other than beg around the world?” – Leg wondered.

“If you sell out to the US, you too will be chosen as ‘man of the year’,” Namyelüs pointed out.

“Go ahead and praise … You’ve turned his country into ruins and now you’re choosing ‘man of the year’. I think he should have been called ‘fool of the year’ to suit you,” Ayı yıldız indignantly pointed out.

“Apparently, this Zelensky has kept his word well. Woe to Ukraine,” Nurettin stated.

“Come on! What has he done to become ‘man of the year’? Our president has done much more for Ukraine and the world,” expressed the opinion of one user.

“With them, there will soon be no state called ‘Ukraine’ left,” added Şahin.
