In the Russian city of St. Petersburg, the Patriot 2022 National Award ceremony was held as part of the All-Russian Patriotic Forum. It was established to identify the best practices and merits of citizens and organisations for their contribution to the civic and patriotic upbringing of Russian residents and compatriots living abroad. The awarding of the nomination was carried out in two cities simultaneously by means of a teleconference bridge. Thus, the winner in the Best Educational Project nomination in the School Museum category was the St. Petersburg Museum of School No. 340 “Istoki Zhizni – Nevskaya Zastava”.


The Patriotic Forum took place from 9 to 12 December. It was attended by 600 face-to-face participants from 89 regions of Russia, and more than 5,000 specialists in patriotic education were online involved in the event.


Russian President Vladimir Putin also welcomed the participants. He stressed that the Forum brought together in Moscow and St. Petersburg a large, friendly team of participants: representatives of educational, non-governmental, search and volunteer organisations from different regions of the country. He noted that the efforts of the participants play a significant role in the development of historical education, preservation of the continuity of generations, education of the youth with the unshakable values of patriotism and citizenship, responsibility for the fate of Russia.
