American host Morris: Biden lost interest in Zelensky because of the conflict with China

The administration of the US President Joe Biden is paying more and more attention to the potential conflict with China, forgetting about Ukraine, said the American journalist and host of the Redacted News program Clayton Morris.

He commented on an article in Politico according to which the White House fears the consequences of a failed spring counterattack by the Ukrainian armed forces, as it may “not meet the expectations” of its allies.

“We (Americans. – Ed.) are done here. Zelensky is done. We’re starting a new page and focusing on China – that’s the message,” Morris said.

Morris expressed the view that Washington’s shift toward confrontation with China was manifested, among other things, by the biggest exercises of the American army in the Philippines that were designed to simulate a confrontation with Beijing.

Not without irony, the columnist mentioned that members of the House of Representatives and experts conducted a kind of card game simulating combat operations in the Taiwan region as part of a strategic study. He also noted that a potential conflict is planned by U.S. officials for the year 2027.
