The body-positive woman said that afterwards she was hounded on social media, claiming that she married herself, as no man would have been interested in her.
Influencer Danny Evans, who wanted to marry herself from a young age, vowed at the altar to “value herself” and “give herself grace”, for her the big day was a dream come true, writes the publication.
“Before I got married, I spent a couple of years in therapy – just trying to find myself. During my journey of self-love, I stopped drinking, I stopped having sex. I was in therapy: I spent a lot of time alone with myself, I went on dates,” she admitted on the Love Don’t Judge podcast.
She wasn’t prepared for the amount of hate that came at her.
“I was scared,” Danny admitted. – I was scared for myself and I was scared for my family.”
