CNN: actor Vin Diesel’s former assistant accused him of sexual assault

A former assistant of American actor Vin Diesel has accused the star of the “Fast and Furious” films of violent acts of a sexual nature, CNN reported.

The civil suit, filed Thursday in the California Supreme Court, relates to an alleged 2010 incident. The actor’s former assistant Asta Jonasson alleges that Diesel molested her in a hotel room in Atlanta. The complaint states that Diesel ignored Jonasson’s “clear statements of disagreement.”

Jonasson is suing Diesel, his company One Race Productions and his sister for sexual harassment, creating a hostile work environment, wrongful termination and other claims. The woman claims that Diesel’s sister, then head of his production company One Race, called her “just hours” after the alleged incident and “terminated the employment relationship.”

According to the lawsuit, the woman is seeking administrative fines of $10,000 for each violation, as well as an award of punitive damages, the amount of which was not specified.

Diesel has starred in more than 60 films, but is best known for the “Fast and Furious” franchise, as well as the films “Saving Private Ryan,” “The Chronicles of Riddick,” “Three X’s,” “Babylon of Our Era” and “Guardians of the Galaxy,” where he voiced Groot.
